This high-performance Caterpillar G3516 natural gas generating set features a robust V16 spark-ignited gas engine (rated up to ~1500 ekW electrical in standard configs at 1500 RPM) directly coupled to a durable Caterpillar SR4 brushless alternator (frame 506, serial 6AA02964, excitation 506 V / 8.81 A).

The alternator delivers stable output with Class H insulation, 105 °C temperature rise by resistance, excellent transient/sub-transient reactances for motor starting and voltage stability, and 3-phase 6-wire Wye configuration (415 Volts standard, reconfigurable for various low-voltage applications).

Rated electrical output is approximately 1025–1300 kVA (~820–1040 kW at 0.8 power factor, 50 Hz continuous/prime; higher up to 1500 ekW / 1875 kVA standby or fast-response in optimized G3516 packages), depending on exact model variant, fuel quality, ambient conditions (high suitability for Dubai's climate), and derating factors.
